Committees
Ontario Care Collective Committees work to meet the needs of the membership. Composed of dedicated volunteers representing numerous member agencies, these individuals work diligently and provide appropriate recommendations on behalf of the membership to the Board of Directors, thereby ensuring that member needs are given the utmost importance.
Major committee recommendations and association endeavours are reported to members at the Annual Conference and the Annual Meeting. Regional Representatives are also in place to ensure that local issues are brought forward to the Board of Directors. This cycle of feedback and contribution from the membership is key to the success of the work of the association.
Current Committees
Conference Committee
Supports the planning and delivery of OCC conferences and educational events by providing input on programming, speakers, attendee engagement, and event experiences.
Developmental Services Committee
Provides a forum to discuss issues, trends, and best practices relevant to developmental services and supports advocacy and collaboration within the sector.
Children's Residential (Group Care) Committee
Addresses matters impacting children's residential service providers, including operational challenges, sector developments, and opportunities to strengthen care.
Staff Model Committee
Brings together members operating staff-model programs to share knowledge, discuss workforce and operational issues, and identify innovative practices.
Foster Care Committee
Focuses on issues affecting foster care providers, foster families, and the children and youth they support, while contributing to sector advancement and advocacy.
